It contains both family cycle routes and more challenging routes for the cycling enthusiast.

På Ærø elsker de at cykle, og det er nemt at forstå. Hyggelige landsbyer, stemningsfulde havne, fantastisk natur og dejlige badestrande gør turen rundt på øen helt oplagt som familieudflugt.

Gillelejestien - Regionalrute 33 (27,91 km)

Hillerød - GillelejeDanmark får snart endnu en nationalpark i form af Kongernes Nordsjælland, men der er ingen grund til at vente med at opleve området. Allerede nu er det fantastisk at cykle i. Over halvdelen af ruten løber gennem Gribskov, og kun 4 kilometer er på offentlig vej.

Fodsporet (25,45 km)

Slagelse, Skælskør - BanestiFodsporet er en forholdsvis ny og børnevenlig natursti, som er anlagt på en nedlagt jernbanestrækning.

Banestien er delt op i tre etaper: Slagelse-Dalmose (15 km), Dalmose-Hyllinge (12 km) og Hyllinge-Næstved (11km)

Der er sørget for de nødvendige faciliteter undervejs med multitoiletter, naturlegepladser, bålpladser og muligheder for at fylde vanddunken, og hvis I har lyst til at sove ude i det fri, er der også shelters og bålhytter. Få mere information på www.fodsporet.dk

Kerteminde - Regionalrute 41+42 (29,85 km)

Halvøen Hindsholm nord for Kerteminde er et af de allersmukkeste områder i landet. Eneste minus er en lidt befærdet vej, så husk hjelmen.

Cykelruten er godt 57 kilometer lang, og kun et par af dem er ikke asfalterede.

Nordlig Langeland - Regionalrute 80+81 (76,35 km)

Rudkøbing-Lohals-Spodsbjerg er en naturskøn rundtur på 72 kilometer, hvoraf de 67 km er på asfalterede veje. De resterende fem er på gode grusveje. Turen starter i den største by på Langeland, hvor I kan gå rundt og nyde de mange fredede huse og haver i den historiske bykerne. Rudkøbing Apotek er især berømt: Det var H.C. Ørsteds fødehjem, og i dag er det et meget velbevaret museum, hvor I kan gyse lidt over de mange krukker med sære medikamenter.

The name of the route should be taken literally as the route offers a lovely and safe ride around – and over – Filsø which, after having undergone nature restoration, is the second largest lake in Jutland.

Vejers Strand, Oksbøl – Circular Route

To the south, the Danish North Sea Nature Park borders the Wadden Sea National Park. Irrespective of the time of year, this route provides a very rare experience of nature. We recommend taking this route in September.

Ribe is Denmark’s oldest city. This route takes cyclists right to the heart of Danish history. The scenery is so beautiful that UNESCO has named it a World Heritage Site.

In the 18th century, the inhabitants of Rømø made a good living from whaling. This route takes its name from the captain of the whaling ship (‘commander’ in Dutch) and these great mammals.

The Royal Marshland - Panorama Route 401 (41,31 km)

Tønder, Schackenborg Castle, Højer, Rudbøl – Circular Route

Only two locations in Denmark have been named UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to unique scenery that is worth protecting. One is Stevns Klint on the island of Zealand. The other can be found in the Wadden Sea National Park near the city of Tønder.

The Ryomgård-Gjerrild-Grenaa Railway operated from 1911 to 1956. The rail trail was overgrown for 50 years, but is now a lovely and very tranquil cycle and hiking route.

Hobro, Hadsund, Mariager – Circular Route

Many people believe that Mariager Fjord is the most beautiful in Denmark. As soon as you have cycled from Hobro to Hadsund and back along the south side of the fjord, you will probably agree. Remember to bring a pair of binoculars because birdlife here is fantastic.

The Bryrup Rail Trail - Regional Route 31 (65,40 km)

Horsens-Silkeborg – Rail Trail

In some places, the nature trail between the two towns in Jutland has been dug through hills. In others, cyclists ride on a dam and in one instance over a famous bridge. In East Jutland, cyclists ride on moraine. In Mid-Jutland, conditions become more sandy. In other words: A beautiful and varied ride awaits.

Kerteminde - Regionalroute 41+42 (29,85 km)

Die Halbinsel Hindsholm nördlich von Kerteminde gehört zu den allerschönsten Gegenden des Landes. Einziges Minus ist eine etwas verkehrsreiche Straße, also Helm nicht vergessen. Die Fahrradroute ist gut 57 Kilometer lang und nur ein paar von ihnen sind nicht asphaltiert.

Odense - Kerteminde - Regional Route 45 (23,89 km)

This route is relatively short with only 24 paved kilometres, but there is much to see along the way. No need to bring bicycles as these can be rented in Kerteminde.

Set aside a few hours to see the highlights of Kerteminde before venturing out onto the route. The harbour is atmospheric. Visit the Johannes Larsen Museum which is housed in the Funen painter’s home on Møllebakken.

North Langeland – Regional Route 80+81 (71,59 km)

Rudkøbing-Lohals-Spodsbjerg is a 72-kilometre-long scenic circular route of which 67 kilometres are paved roads. The remaining five are good gravel roads. The route starts in the largest town on Langeland. Rudkøbing Pharmacy is particularly famous: This is HC Ørsted’s birthplace. Today it is a very well-preserved museum offering a wealth of jars with odd medicines for visitors to shiver at.

Sailing, workhouse, fairy-tale castle, Ice Age, open-air museum, giraffes... This family-friendly route offers many and very different experiences.

The hill down towards Svendborg Sound has been the site of a beautiful maritime town since the 13th century. Take time to have a look around before starting the route. Maybe a trip on the water if the youngest members of the family have sufficiently strong sea legs?

The trip on Sejerø consists of both hilly and at stretches. The road system is well developed, and you can ride your bike in wide open spaces, along the coastline and through beautiful forest areas. You will bike through numerous villages, and there is a good possibility of taking a rest along the way. Sejerø has a grocery store and several dining places.

During your trip on Fejø you will, amongst many things, pass by the island church and the newly restored mill with an adjacent café. There are many bicycle options, all with beautiful views of
