We start with routes around the small Danish islands.
These small islands offer blue waves and unique scenery wherever you go.
The small islands are popular destinations both for cyclists and non-cyclists – for a day, a longer holiday or to add spice to a long cycle holiday. There are islands to suit any taste.
Avernakø (7,50 km)
Bike experiences on Avernakø offer hilly roads with a view to the surrounding archipelago. The trip on Avernakø takes you through Avernakø Town, past the two ‘May-poles’, the grocery store and the church. A low dam leads you to the adjacent island Korshavn. The two islands have been connected since 1937. Avernakø has a grocery store and places to eat.

Strynø (11,00 km)
The trip begins at the harbour, and leads you past Øhavets Smakkecenter and through the village with the ‘May Pole’ in the middle. On the other side of the island the route runs down to the sea and the old windmill. Back in town you pass the large local school opposite The Old Dairy. Skarø (5,18 km)
Like many of the other islands in the archipelago Skarø is marked by a star shaped road system, and therefore you can bike along different roads, with beautiful impressions along the way, and splendid views of the ocean when you reach the end of the roads. The trip takes you to the island church and a small maritime museum. There are a few dining options on the island, yet it is advised to book in advance.

Sejerø (24,67 km)
Bring along your two-wheeler when you take the ferry to Sejerø to experience the island's wonderful, breathtaking scenery - and the islanders. Sejerø is the island of mountains where you can combine the bike ride with a mountain hike for great experiences, high and low, among hill trolls and giants.

At the request of the islanders, the entire island is now a conservation area, based on its special nature with less rainfall and more hours of sunshine than the rest of Denmark. Orø is one of the larger of the small islands, where you find both at stretches and hilly terrains. The suggested trip begins at the island’s tourist office, also bicycle rental location. The bike route takes you through several villages, past the island’s museums, shops and galleries, the harbour and the beach, and across beautiful open spaces overlooking the ord. Orø has a grocery store, an inn and several unique dining locations.

Femø (11,68 km)
Bike experiences on Femø offer a hilly terrain, small villages and beautiful scenery. There are many different roads to bike on and all depending on temper and time Femø has a lot to offer. On your trip you will pass by the island church, several fruit orchards and minor villages, as well as nice public parks. Around the island you will find beautiful decorated benches, so feel free to take a well- deserved break. Femø has a grocery store and an inn.

During your trip on Fejø you will, amongst many things, pass by the island church and the newly restored mill with an adjacent café. There are many bicycle options, all with beautiful views of the ocean and especially the many fruit orchards. A short trip to the small island of Skalø is also recommendable. Barsø is located in the Genner Bay in Southern Jutland. A bike trip on Barsø is short, yet offers beautiful nature and amazing views of the sea. It is possible to walk along the coastline almost all around the island. Baagø offers flat bicycle routes with a view to the Little Belt, Funen and Jutland. The route takes you through the island village with its well-preserved farms and in to beautiful natural surroundings. There are several minor tracks, encouraging you to leave your bike behind, as you explore the island by foot. There is a summer shop with limited everyday goods.

A bike trip on Lyø takes you far around, with splendid views of the surrounding archipelago and of a rich bird life. You will find good roads and a bike trip can lead you pass a bird sanctuary and the mysterious bell rock. The route on Egholm is on gravel roads with views of the fjord and the city. In Egholm town you will find beautiful old farms, and if you drag your bike through a small bit of forest, you then enter the open landscape. From one of the many picnic tables, it is possible for you to walk all the way down to the seashore and enjoy the view of the bay, birds and sometimes seals.

Anholt with its hilly landscapes, beautiful forests, beaches and a unique island desert, sometimes inspires you to leave your bike, in order for you to explore the interesting nature by foot.
