Never miss a recording again

Naviki now offers you the option of starting your recordings "automatically* when you cycle. So you can always see where you discovered that great cycle path the other day and you won't miss any more kilometres in competitions because you didn't start the recording.

To do this, open the settings in Naviki and activate automatic recording. Naviki will guide you through the necessary settings. From then on, Naviki will start recording every time your mobile phone detects that you are cycling.

Naviki now also shows place names in local language

With Naviki, you now have the choice of whether you want to see place names translated or in the local language. This allows you to plan in your local language and recognise the local place names during the journey, just like on the place name signs.

To switch between the displays, open the map settings and flip the switch.

Now plan with nodes directly from the map

You can now select nodes for your route planning directly from the map. And it works just as easily as you already know it from points of interest:

  • Start planning a route
  • If you don't see any nodes, open the map settings and activate the switch under the map styles
  • Tap on a node on the map and select it as your destination
  • Select further nodes and plan your route

Tip: To optimize that Naviki plans the route along the nodes directly, it is best to use the Leisure route type.

Enrich route details with html tags

You can now modify the details of your recorded routes with selected html tags. Emphasise highlights or link the great location where you took a break.

Open your recorded route from MY NAVIKI, pull up the bottom sheet and tap on Details. Of course, this also works if you want to edit your routes via our website.

Easily plan based on existing routes

You can now easily use imported and recorded routes in the Naviki app for your new, individual planning. This is how it works:

  • Open a route that you have recorded or imported from any source.
  • Once you see the route on the Naviki map, hold a finger on the map where you want to add your start or destination. Naviki will then combine the existing route with your individual start and destination points.
  • If necessary, shift the locations where your individual planning meets and leaves the existing route.

New powerful map functions and improved leisure routing

As of now the Naviki routing for leisure is significantly upgraded. Routes calculated with this option now run even more consistent on officially signposted bicycle tracks as well as on long distance paths. The improved leisure routing is available via both Naviki apps and here on the web interface.

Not least we have also released a new Naviki update for Android and iOS. These are the main news for Naviki within both apps:

  • Map setting 'northbounded while cycling' (tap on the top right compass icon in navigation mode for setting)
  • New arrow showing direction and distance to the route, when you leave a route (Naviki Extra 'Turn-by-turn navigation' required)

Furthermore Naviki for iOS now comes with the following enhancement:

  • Improved map with new, 3D-like look (use two fingers to set your perspective on the map)

New routing for racing bikes and a second routing result
